As the Managing Director of ForceOne Enterprises Pty Ltd, Ling runs the family of companies with the skill and finesse that has become her trademark. Her list of qualifications is testament to her total dedication to always do her best.

Ling holds a BA from one of the most prestigious universities in Japan, Keio Gijuku University, and an MBA from Bond University. Her international career covers a wide range of industries over a 30 year period beginning as an Assistant to the Representative of Lions International in Japan, and subsequent appointments with major US companies to assist their heads of operation in Japan such as Levi Strauss and McMillan.

In Australia Ling was the Overseas Marketing Director of Bond University and received a Queensland Export Award in her second year from the Queensland State Government.

Ling sets a great example for all those who work with her by constantly challenging herself and raising the bar higher. Her success is underpinned by what can only be described as an extraordinary determination to overcome obstacles. Born in Japan, but considered non-Japanese because her father was born in Taiwan, Ling had to work harder and achieve more than her peers to be accepted.

Ling was the one of the few non-Japanese to be admitted to the prestigious Keio Gijuku University, an incredible achievement that most Australians, born in an egalitarian society, would find difficult to understand. Ling's ability to exclude negativity from her life has ensured a strong sense of pride in herself and a resilience that nothing can erode.

Ling is a great role model and mentor in the company. Above all, she shows that we all have total control over who we can become.

James Raines' very long business career has taken him to all corners of the globe - the USA, UK, Korea, Japan, the Philippines, Brazil and Australia. This vast experience has contributed to one of his greatest strengths - his knowledge and experience in overall marketing in the international environment. James' unparalleled negotiation skill was a great asset in his role as Vice President, and a member of the board of directors, of International Horizons, Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

The group consisted of 29 different organizations with James responsible for marketing of the entire group. The core business was direct marketing of language programs including Disney's English Language program developed with the cooperation of Harvard University. The interest of this group also spanned into banks, and one of James' accomplishments was fundraising using accounts receivables. This included US$100 million with American Express International Banking, $60 million with the Bank of America and $34 million with the General Electric Credit Corporation. After arriving in Japan in 1983, James established Inglehurst Limited to assist foreign companies build their marketing arms in Japan.

James' work ethic and ability to communicate with people from all walks of life endear him to everyone he works and does business with. Nothing is too difficult for him and his strong belief in being frank with people, whilst still maintaining a high level of courtesy, has come from the old school of doing business where every problem can and should be solved. James not only strongly believes but also practices every day a simple mantra - clients deserve every attention. When you phone our office to talk to him you will never be asked who you are or why you are calling. Every call is important to him and treated with the utmost respect.

David Strachan could best be summed up as a very likeable Aussie larrikin - defying conventions in the most interesting ways. He is an honest man - a straight shooter. A very loyal and respectful person who makes room to help anyone. A man of great integrity, he lives by the creed that giving to someone brings more back. Doing business with David is a bit like having a beer with your best mate - you walk away afterwards feeling damn glad he is on your team. For David, everything is about perseverance. There are ten ways to solve a problem.

David is also a man of many and varied talents. For the most part, David has spent his life doing broad acre farming in Moree, NSW. His family continues on the land today. David is also a top horseman, competing in polo cross at a high level. Always on the lookout for another challenge, he became involved in off-farm investments, buying and selling wherever there was a good opportunity. His knowledge of the real estate market led him to become more heavily involved in the industry where he set up an agency in Angourie, Yamba, NSW. He relocated to Brisbane 2004 and joined the team at ForceOne Realty.

Something which David is quietly proud of is his writing. He is a published poet who writes poems and lyrics which reveal so much about who he is and what he believes in. David has now commenced writing a new book.

David has a very special relationship with South Africa, particularly Soweto, where his wife and son come from. He spent more than 6 months there getting to know the culture and the people.

Jennifer is bright and full of energy and simply loves to assist anybody who comes to her for help.

She came to Australia to study for a Masters in Accounting and obtained permanent residence status after completing her degree. Jennifer then joined ForceOne Enterprises Pty Ltd to establish a new career.

Following seven months of training during which she obtained a Sales Certificate in the real estate industry, Jennfer combined her academic and real life business skills in both China and Australia to become a very successful sales person in this industry.

Jennifer is unconcerned with the long hours that she works - most of all she enojoys helping people to achieve their goals.

Paul Sergeant

Paul has worked in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Pacific and gained valuable experience in a variety of senior and very challenging roles. He has traveled through more than thirty countries and completed assignments in England, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Australia.

Paul's skills and experience span roles as CEO or General Manager where he has had total responsibility for bottom line performance. He has also held senior and more functional roles such as Marketing Director within a multinational company where he led large teams of sales and marketing professionals.

Specific industry experience has been primarily within the fields of tourism and hospitality, advertising and business consulting. Today he heads up the business broking division of ForceOne.

Paul is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management, an Associate Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute and a Certified Practicing Marketer. He is also Past President and Director of the Rotary Club of Brisbane Mid-City and an Honorary Life Member of Tourism Whitsundays.

His degree in engineering obtained in China explains his ability to pay attention to details and he has a strong desire to be a successful sales person in the industry.
