Provided your property is priced correctly the only thing standing in the way of a sale, not surprisingly, is finding the right buyer. Exposing your property to the relevant market(s) to find that buyer or preferably multiple buyers, is the key to a successful sale.
Regardless of the property, the process in preparing a property for sale is essentially the same, i.e:
- Identify the target market(s). Who are the likely buyers? Would they be local, interstate or overseas?
- Determine the means by which the likely buyers can be reached. Should we use internet, mailouts, newspaper, magazines, etc. or a combination of these?
- Develop a marketing plan and budget.

The marketing plan is worked out with the property owner at the outset and monitored to check its effectiveness and adjustments made as necessary.
